Operation HOPE: HOPE Global Financial Literacy Summit
Operation HOPE, America’s leading nonprofit social investment banking and financial literacy empowerment organization, wanted to hold its first-ever Global Financial Literacy Summit in Washington, DC. Operation HOPE called on Angel Enterprises to manage the entire planning and execution process of what would be the largest and most significant event in Operation HOPE’s history. The Angel team quickly hit the ground running, utilizing our existing network of relationships to enhance the roster of confirmed speakers and to secure a myriad of trusted and skilled support vendors.
Over a period of two months, the Angel and HOPE teams collaborated to produce a truly impressive event that included more than 800 attendees, keynote speakers Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Chair Sheila Bair, and Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President Valerie Jarrett, seven breakout sessions and more than 50 breakout panel speakers representing 15 countries and the United States. Angel helped the HOPE team transform the venue, an education, arts and recreation facility in Washington, DC’s Anacostia neighborhood, into a world-class economic summit. Beginning with an evening reception the night before, the Angel team helped to produce a tremendously successful, expertly executed event where leaders from around the world were able to gather, share their ideas and promote the importance of financial literacy on a global scale.
